Sectional garage doors range in thickness and insulation properties.
The single skinned sectional doors are basically the same thickness as a
traditional steel door. They offer little insulation properties
however due to the design of the door they are almost completely
draught-proof and so offer a better alternative to a normal up and over
door.
The next in the range is a 20mm of insulation which
gives the same level of insulation as a roller door. This level of
insulation is very good and if you work in your garage you will definitely
notice the difference.
Finally the top of the range is the 42mm insulation
and thus offers the best properties for insulating your garage. This is
especially useful if you are trying to make your home as energy efficient as
possible and your garage is directly attached to your property.
Generally, we recommend the Hormann range of doors
as a first choice to our customers due to their high level of engineering, they
offer the best compromise for quality and affordability.
